Country Club Tasmania, Home of Prospect Vale Golf Club
The Prospect Vale Golf Club formally (Quamby Golf Club Inc.) was established by Ian and Marjorie McFarlane who acted out their dream and built a golf course at Hagley, just a 20 minute drive west of Launceston. The course began to be built in 1996, and finished early in 1997, out of which the Prospect Vale Golf Club was born.
In September 2005 the property at Hagley was sold and on the 17th December 2005 a special meeting was called, and a resolution was passed for the golf club to move to be based at Country Club Tasmania. The first competition was held at Country Club Tasmania on the 7th January 2006, and since that day Country Club Tasmania has been the home of Prospect Vale Golf Club.
Tasmania golf club and Golf Australia affiliated members are welcome to enter weekly club competitions which are played on Wednesday mornings at 7:30am until 12 noon and Saturday mornings from 7:30am to 10:30am. A time sheet is available in the golf centre.
Full, womens, and junior club memberships are available.
