Country Club Hotel is a fantastic place to stay. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, the rooms are comfortable and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed yet polished. The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, making the experience feel effortless from check-in to check-out. It’s the kind of place you can rely on for comfort, quality, and a great overall stay — I’d happily return again.

We had stayed previously at the Country Club Tasmania and had a lovely experience, which is why we decided to return. This time we booked because we were attending the red hot summer tour and thought we would treat ourselves by booking a suite for 2 nights. due to the event, the price was significantly more than our previous stay, the suite came to $1080 for 2 nights, which is expense for us. we were happy to pay as we expect to relax and enjoy the facilities. Unfortunately, several aspects of our stay were disappointing. On the first day we visited the spar/hotub in Health Centre, however, didn’t stay long as the water was barely luke warm and the temperature couldn’t be adjusted. we also found the extra shower heads in our bathroom weren’t working. At breakfast the following morning the buffet offered a good range of food; however the hot items were only luke warm, which was disappointing given the otherwise good selection. The most frustrating issue occurred on the second night. from around midnight until after 3 am there was a loud repetitive hammering noise which sounded like a drum being hit. my partner believes it may have been water hammer in the pipes. he attempted to release the pressure by running the taps the turning them on and off which would stop the noise very briefly before it started again. We contacted reception and were told the hotel was fully booked so a room change was not possible. the night staff said he would come up to the room and listen to the noise however after waiting some time i called reception again around 1:30 and there was no answer. as i was about to walk down to reception the phone rang, and the staff member explained he had walked down the hallway and could not hear anything. This was extremely frustrating as he said he would come into our room but did not. the noise was clearly audible in our room and kept us awake much of the night. the only option offered was ear plugs, along with a note that maintenance would be advised next day. there was no apology or acknowledgement of the disruption, which was disappointing given thr price of the suite. when we checked out the following morning a trainee was on the desk on her own. i explained i wanted to give feedback about our stay. while she listened to me, there was no acknowledgement or offer to follow up regarding the issue, so i advised that i would provide formal feedback publicly. This is unfortunate because we genuinely enjoyed our previous stay here. However given the cost of this stay and the issues we experienced, this stay did not meet our expectations. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and we would have preferred the opportunity to resolve this directly. Given the cost and the disruption to our stay, we were surprised that no acknowledgement or follow up from the hotel.
