Our Corporate and Social Responsibility

There’s something beautiful about caring for your surroundings.

Community

Country Club Tasmania believes we have a corporate and social responsibilityin Tasmania to assist those in our community who need it most, whether it’s through community activities, charity work, or events. With over 400 employees, our reach within the community goes further than just a job; over time we have embedded ourselves in to the lives of those residing in Launceston and the Tamar Valley.

At the heart of our organisation lies a generosity of spirit, a belief that we have been given an opportunity to support those in need, and where genuine happiness is achieved through giving rather than receiving.

The Country Club Tasmania Staff Community Fund is a new initiative whereby our valued employees have been given the opportunity to contribute to four worthwhile beneficiaries. The charities selected by our staff to benefit from the focus of Country Club Tasmania’s efforts and future staff fundraising events are;

  • St Giles
  • RSPCA Tasmania
  • Ronald McDonald House
  • Salvation Army

As a community orientated organisation a significant sponsorship portfolio is aligned with Country Club Tasmania including, but not limited to;

  • Cancer Council
  • Glover Art Prize
  • Junction Arts Festival
  • Launceston Hospital
  • Make a Wish
  • Northern Tasmanian Football Association (NTFA)
  • Northern Tasmanian Junior Soccer Association (NTJSA)
  • Prospect Vale Golf Club
  • Targa Tasmania
  • Tasmanian Crabbet Arabian Group
  • Tasmanian Farmers & Graziers Association

Environment

Country Club Tasmania is highly committed to environmental sustainability and is proactive in minimising environmental impacts where possible. We pride ourselves on our well-maintained grounds and natural bush land setting, which is home to many species of native wildlife.

As a proudly accredited tourism business, we take our corporate and social responsibility in Tasmania seriously and follow industry best practice in relation to environmental sustainability. Strong relationships have been developed with several tourism authorities to ensure we exceed environmental regulations and maintain the strength of Tasmanian tourism – nature and environment.

Country Club Tasmania has initiated the following environmental practices,

  • State-of-the-art kitchen equipment to ensure food is produced in an energy efficient manner.
  • Industrial compactor to provide for the complete and hygienic disposal of all products.
  • Recycling plastics, glassware and paper products.
  • Use of Ecolab detergents and cleaning products.
  • All chemicals, detergents and cleaning products dispensed conservatively and stored in safe industry standard environments.
  • Reducing water consumption by encouraging guests to re-use towels, plus water-saving shower heads fitted in all rooms.
  • Use of free-range products at all times.
  • Pathways for guests to reduce damage to the natural environment.
  • Partnerships with local providers to purchase in-season product, keeping in line with the product’s natural lifecycle.
